Can We Sub-Targeting Components & Destroying It? | Star Citizen Science & Fun 4k

In the video, the player uses a Mown Delta ship with a sniper loadout to take on an enemy Hammerhead ship in an ER mission. The player attempts to sub-target specific components like shield generators and power plants but faces challenges in accurately hitting and disabling them before ultimately destroying the enemy ships.

In the video, the player is using a Mown Delta ship with a long-range sniper loadout to take on an ER mission involving an enemy Hammerhead ship. Instead of attacking immediately, the player decides to scan the Hammerhead first to gather more information. After successfully scanning the Hammerhead from a closer range, the player is able to see detailed information about the ship, including its cargo and weapons.

Upon scanning the Hammerhead, the player enters sub-targeting mode, allowing them to target specific components of the enemy ship. The player attempts to target the Shield generators of the Hammerhead to test the effectiveness of their long-range sniper loadout. Despite multiple attempts, the player is unable to disable the Shield generators from a distance, but ultimately succeeds in destroying the Hammerhead before taking down its shields.

The player then proceeds to test the sub-targeting feature on a different ship, a Draco VHR-T. After scanning and targeting the power plant of the Draco, the player faces difficulty in identifying the highlighted area indicating the power plant’s location. Despite destroying the target, the player is unable to specifically target and disable the power plant before destroying the entire ship.

In another attempt with an M2 ship, the player scans and targets the power plant but struggles to locate the highlighted area in Precision mode. The player notes that the power plant is located on the second floor of the ship, making it a challenging target to hit accurately. The player then tries to board the M2 ship but faces obstacles in getting inside due to their ship’s wings blocking the way.
