The Murai Fury - An Architect Reviews [Star Citizen]

Star Citizen’s latest tiny snub fighter, the Mirai Fury, is more than just a cockpit with guns strapped to it - it’s easily the most fun little ship you’re likely to have flown yet! With its pocket size it can fit on a Nomad starter ship or even a Caterpillar. The Mirai takes inspiration from the design of TIE Interceptor and Oblivion, and its unique silhouette is complete with the winglets layered with contrasting materials and Marai logo. The weapons are bespoke to sit on the winglet tips and offer clear visibility in a dogfight. As well as its impressive design, the Fury MX comes with a single size one shell generator, a single size one power plant, two size one coolers and four size two fixed hardpoints. The Fury MX switches out the guns for 20 missiles - 8 size threes and 12 size twos - with more missile options if the user wishes to switch them out. The engines deliver 17.9 G’s of Force acceleration and 1250 meter a second top speed, but its manoeuvrability issues may be a limitation in PvP. The fuel consumption is quite large, and the limited thrusters reduce its effective Healthpool making it quite squishy. To benefit from these ships, a group of players would need an hour or more to ready the larger ship to host it, but light Fighters are just as good yet take less than half the time and have their own Quantum Drive. To be competitive, snub Fighters must be balanced with incentives that outweigh the negatives. The Fury is fantastic fun to fly, especially when used to fight against NPC enemies. It’s time Saigi reconsiders the way Snub Fighters have been balanced to make them a more viable PvP choice.
